VITARGO! contains Vitargo®, a patented high molecular weight carbohydrate with an average molecular weight of 500,000-700,000. It is unique because it has been specially processed to have a molecular profile very different from sugars (e.g. glucose, fructose) and maltodextrin found in many products. The molecular weight of maltodextrin is around 1,000-10,000 and that of dextrose is around 180!

It is generally scientifically proven that prolonged submaximal exercise is limited by the accessibility of muscle and liver glycogen stores, and that these stores can be increased with high carbohydrate intake. It has also been shown that the glycogen rate (stored carbohydrate in the body) is higher in muscles where glycogen stores have been depleted by exercise. Glycogen synthesis rate is important to athletes during training sessions with repeated bouts of hard submaximal exercise, as well as during competitions, especially when multiple bouts of intense exercise must be performed. The synthesis of muscle glycogen from ingested carbohydrates is dependent on the transport of glucose through the intestinal mucosa and muscle cell membranes and on the enzymes responsible for glycogen phosphorylase and synthesis.

Consumption recommendation
Dissolve 1 serving (30 g) in 400 ml of water daily. Consume these before, during, and/or after your workout.
