l-arginine
Here you will find our L-Arginine products from different manufacturers
Arginine is a proteinogenic amino acid with the highest content of nitrogen (NO) of all amino acids. For athletes, especially for bodybuilders, L-arginine plays an important role in muscle building. One differentiates chemically bound arginine from freely available L-arginine. L-arginine is produced by extraction from protein hydrolyzate, the amino acid mixture being separated by crystallization from other amino acids.
The function of L-arginine
The amino acid L-arginine is involved in many biological processes. For athletes, it is primarily of utility as a nitrogen supplier since it is the sole precursor of nitric oxide (NO). Thus, L-arginine is an efficient NO booster. After the metabolism, L-arginine causes an expansion of the blood vessels, whereby more blood and thus also oxygen can enter the muscle cells. This makes the muscles more powerful. This effect is known as a so-called pumping effect.
